Kai Nielsen (1882-1924), Danish sculptor, the nude human form was a dominant subject of his production. His work was commissioned for large scale pieces such as the figures at Blagards Plads in Copenhagen and The Water Mother which is exhibited in the winter garden of the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek.
He designed very original and expressive figurines for Bing and Grondahl. This piece has an attribution mark,
