The Prague or 811 chair was designed by the Austrian Josef Hoffmann, who designed the chair for Thonet in the 1920s. Timeless design: the chair was popular in both the 1930s and the 1950s/1960s and is still very popular today. This set of 4 chairs was produced in the 1970s by Ligna (a former Thonet factory in Czechoslovakia - now Czech Republic - that was nationalized after World War II). Marked: Ligna.
