Combining … Read more An exceptional pair of scandinavian pendant lamps attributed to paul kedelv and produced by flygsfors, sweden, during the 1970s. Combining substantial hand-blown art glass with finely engineered brass fittings, these pendants beautifully demonstrate the sculptural elegance that characterises swedish lighting design of the period.

each pendant features a thick hand-blown glass shade with a distinctive swirling pattern in clear and emerald green glass, enriched with controlled air bubbles suspended within the glass. Individually hand-crafted, no two shades are exactly alike, making each pendant a unique work of scandinavian studio glass.

the bulbous glass shades are secured by three polished brass retaining screws to a slender cylindrical brass gallery, creating an elegant visual contrast between the organic glass and precision-machined metalwork. Both lamps retain their original white bakelite e27 bulb holders and have been fitted with new electrical cords, ready for installation.

when illuminated, the layered glass softly diffuses the light while highlighting the movement of the green swirls and trapped bubbles, producing a warm and atmospheric glow.

excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of age and use. The glass is free from chips or cracks, the brass has developed a light natural patina, and both pendants are fully functional with newly fitted electrical cords.
