This chic vintage brass box has a great pedigree. Tommi Parzinger for Dorlyn silversmiths is hallmarked on the back and from the 50's. What the original purpose of this box was back in the times was a silent butler tray to pick up the crumbs at the elegant lavish dinner parties by the serving staff for the elite. Now it can be used for just that or a great box , a desk accessory or a candy dish for a cocktail table. It is solid polished brass and was done so professionally and then lacquered so it will not tarnish. it has good weight to it. This is an amazing box now. Tommi Parzinger hung with the rich and propelled him in those circles to succeed in his endeavors. This is mid century modern.
