An oil painting by the artist Lawrence Gipe. This painting was part of a series from a show in Santa Barbara year 2000. The painting is large, impressive and stately, and when you look at it you feel as though you are in the room. The room that is painted is of a gallery in a museum in Naples, Italy.
One does feel like you are in the room when you are viewing the painting.
The show had an interesting direction which I came to realize when the artist explained the background in detail.
I found the signature on the lower front right corner.
