Gilt-framed original Impressionist oil painting of a small boat floating in a natural pond at dawn. Calm and peaceful, with beech trees and lovely dawn colors reflected in the still surface of the pond.
Sold for $495 in 1962. Victorian Impressionist, Sidney Yates Johnson. Original frame was not removed to verify artist signature.
Frame is 13.5” x 16.5” x 2.5”. As viewed from the front, painting is 8.5” x 11.5.”
