In 1959, this design won first prize in a competition organized by PAGED. The common name "heart" comes from the backrest made of bent plywood, which resembles a heart in shape.

An important aspect of this model is the consistency of the manufacturing technology. Each wooden element of the chair has been bent, and the wooden ring on which the seat is mounted is made from a single piece, ensuring structural integrity. The legs also underwent this bending process, providing a harmonious aesthetic to the overall "heart-shaped" design.
