French art deco sculpture signed s melani
a well-observed sculpture by the italian artist salvatore melani (1902 - 1934) depicting a reclining lady and greyhound sitting on an oval polished slate base.
the lady is wearing a black dress with gilt decoration, collar and cuffs.
the reclining greyhound has a mottled golden coat.
a lovely example of art deco sculpture.
