Beautiful silhouette of Washington cut at Mt Vernon d 1785 . Beautiful gold frame The provenance and authentication is noted on the back states that it was cut at Mt Vernon in 1785. It was formerly the property of Col Richard Varick, aide to Benedict Arnold, later General George Washington’s Secretary and Mayor of New York.
The items provenance was established by Rad Curry(1935-2092) once Dutchess County NY historian, author and noted archeologist.
Prior to me it was owned by Poughkeepsie NY Mayor, Nancy Cozean Jacob.
