It features a square-cornered, moulded, stepped breakfront cornice above four astragal-glazed doors that enclose adjustable shelves. The lower breakfront section consists of four arched panelled cupboard doors, flanked by turned columns with leaf-carved capitals, opening to reveal shelved cupboards. The entire piece stands on an integral breakfront plinth base. This bookcase is of exceptional quality, with a rich, original colour and striking grain. Made in England, circa 1840, it comes with its original keys and working locks. This stunning antique bookcase splits into eleven sections for easy transport and remains in lovely, original condition. The shelves in both the upper and lower sections are fully adjustable. See less
