Artist's Statement: "A tribute to Donald Sultan, who influenced me long ago (along with Sam Gummelt, Michael Whitehead and others) … Read more Artist's Statement: "A tribute to Donald Sultan, who influenced me long ago (along with Sam Gummelt, Michael Whitehead and others) to incorporate industrial and 'homely' materials in my work. I am incorporating a lot of media I have been working with over the years -- tar, lacquer, house paint, stain, collage and other things. There are the other usual influences here as well -- Julian Schnabel, Jim Dine, Cy Twombly, etc."
