This image was based on abstracting a scene on Kittery Point, Maine. Next to a lobster restaurant was the gear for raising and lowering the traps from the boats below. The hook is in the central part of the painting surrounded by blue skies and wood poles and platforms.
The pictorial space is fairly flat with some depth created by the scale of the vertical poles allowing the hook to move forward as the focus of the painting.
The whitish colors on the right side are more of a very soft warm white. The texture and brush strokes are much more apparent on the original.
Part of a series of waterfront locations depicting piers and boats in Kittery Point.
In very good condition.
Will be shipped rolled in a hard cardboard tube.
