The top section surmounted by two carved birds perched on a nest on a naturalistic base surrounded by leaves and flowers. The front with two hinged doors decorated with oval vignettes carved in relief with flowers, leaves and berries. Floral friezes decorate the sides the back. Resting on four curved feet. Cabinet measures 12 1/2" height x 13 1/2" width x 8 1/2" deep. The cabinet retains a working lock and key, with the opposite door having a bottom drop down latch to keep it in place. Opening to reveal two compartments with pull-out trays with grooved slots for cigars. Each tray has a lovely decorative stippled dot detailing to the fronts and turned wood knobs. There are a total of 14 pull out trays with grooved slots to accommodate 7 cigars per tray, for a total of 98 cigars. The carved slots measure 7/16" width x 5 3/8" length ( with every tray having one central cigar groove of 4 3/4" length). Will hold cigarillos and cigars with up to 28 or 29 ring gauge cepo, such as puritos. The cabinet is in overall good antique condition for age and type. There is one turned knob lacking to one of the trays visible in the photos. There are a couple of lacks to the tail feathers on the birds finial, the upper most bird with some rubbing to the tip on the beak as shown. See less
