carl thore is the pseudonym of sigurd lindkvist, a swedish designer born in 1916 in åmål. He is best known for his innovative lighting designs, especially during his time at granhaga metallindustri, where he started working 1961. Lindkvist adopted the name carl thore when he presented his lamps to a customer and wanted to keep his identity as a designer a secret.

granhaga metallindustri was a swedish company founded in 1921 and became known for its production of high-quality lamps and lighting fixtures. Granhaga collaborated with several prominent designers, including carl thore (sigurd lindkvist), who created some of their most iconic lamps. This piece has an attribution mark,
