Multicolored Midcentury Turkish Kurdish Oushak Runner with Diamonds and Stars. Keivan Woven Arts / rug TU-NED-4692, country of origin / type: Iran / Kurdish Oushak, circa 1950
This Kurdish tribal rug was woven by Kurdish weavers in Turkey. The emphasis with these rugs is on their colors, and those in this vintage piece are very vivid and interesting. The dyes are all natural and there is lovely variation, resulting in a colorful piece with great character.
