Handcrafted from bentwood, beech and stained mahogany, the piece of furniture is hand-polished with shellac and embodies the high artistry of Gebrüder Thonet from around 1900.

A special highlight is the original, textile inlay on the table top, which is visible in the photos. The table is documented in the bibliography “Illustrated catalog by Michael Thonet, Vienna 1904, page 70, reading table no. 1” and is considered an original vintage piece of furniture from the manufacturing period.
