The first drawings … Read more This design was first shown in 2001 as part of a collection by Kate Blee entitled Flood. The first drawings for this collection were made after the artist had visited her parents remote home in the mountains of south eastern France following the greatest floods that had hit the area in a hundred years. The dramatically altered landscape provided the inspiration for the drawings and ultimately the rugs. This design is inspired by the rock fall on the sheer screed slopes following the floods.
