This rare vintage 5x14 Persian Kilim is a tribal Karadagh rug — named after the mountainous region known for its fabulous works. Handwoven in wool, it originates circa 1950-1960.
On the Design:
The gallery runner carries interesting orange- navy blue medallions on a rich burgundy field. Keen eyes will further admire their bombastic sense of movement with more fine detailing than many flat weaves enjoy.
Condition:
This mid-century Persian flat weave further enjoys good condition for its age and origin.
