Decanter label or bottle ticket, if you prefer the English term, for Brandy by Charles Rawlings, London, 1828, hand wrought during the George III period. This stunning sterling silver decanter label is in deep relief with expert chasing. Depicted are grapes and leaves with a lions face at the top and a shell at the bottom flanked by scrolls. The name plate is deeply engraved with “BRANDY”. It is suspended from a belcher style chain hand made by the silversmith. 2” x 1.5"
The silversmiths marks are deeply stamped on the reverse in cartouche form;
