Admirers of the craft may note the influence of Bordjalou (or Borchaly) rugs from tribal weavers in regions of modern-day Armenia and Georgia. The rug’s geometric patterns—including large-size rectangles, chevrons, ram’s horns and other nomadic motifs—play a look of all over and medallion style together, with bright and vibrant primary colors and sharply woven latch hooks (also inspired by the works of the aforementioned provenance).
