Each light has three … Read more An impressive run of ten large Scandinavian cascade lights (ex Public building), dating from the 1960s. Each light has three beautiful cased white/frosted glass ‘bowling pin’ drops, hung from a triangular teak frame. There are 30 white/opaque cased glass shades in total, all of the same proportions. The three drops cascade from tapered teak pegs forming a triangle, almost ‘chopstick’ in design. As the ten lights are wired individually, they can be arranged in many different formats: in a line, cluster, spread out across a ceiling or arranged in a stairwell.
Each light has been professionally rewired with modern E27 Edison screw light fittings and new ceiling rose. Ceiling rose to lowest drop measures 193cm. Glass shades measure 42cm H x 18cm diameter. Top opening of the shades measure 6cm, the bottom opening 12cm. The teak hangers measure 44cm x 44cm x 44cm.
The lights are in very good period condition with only a few nibbles to two of the glass drops and one has a small chip with faint hairline crack, all of which are shown in the last two images.
