The … Read more This set of five walnut dining chairs was designed by Merton Gershun for American of Martinsville's "Dania II" collection. The chairs are reminiscent of Drexel Furniture's "Sun Coast" and "Declaration" collections, both by Kipp Stewart and Stewart MacDougall, with inlaid rosewood diamonds on the seat backs. Gentle curves with a sleek design. The frames have been professionally restored, however older upholstery is still in place.
These chairs are unlabeled but have been authenticated by both contemporary evidence, vintage advertising, and measurements.
