Blue Agate and Blue Lace Agate are interchangeable names of the same type of banded Chalcedony belonging to the microcrystalline Quartz family. However, the more popular term for blue agate is blue lace agate, which is so-called because of the soft intelligent colors (white and different shades of blue) laid out in concentric layers.
Superior AAA grade! Blue agates are also called Sapphirines. Sapphirine is a jewelry and trade term denoting a variety of light blue chalcedony in various shades.
The color is authentic and natural. No thermal or other mechanical treatments were used.
