A lovely and rare vintage photogravure of portrait of Madame Julie Recamier by Jacques-Louise David Ingres. Comes from a rare art folio published by Albert Skira in 1940s in Switzerland. First limited German edition. Printed on one side. Hand tipped-in on a board of heavy paper. Information regarding the original artwork in German will be found by lifting the piece. Excellent condition - minor edge wear on the board, never framed.
