Mid Nineteenth Century.

The hand painted central reserves depicting a seated Courting Couple in landscape wearing Eighteenth Century dress, within a lavish raised gilt surround, back view with village and lake scene within a raised tooled gilt detail on a rich cobalt blue ground.

Condition: Good condition with no losses to porcelain, no gilding wear within porcelain areas. Gilt Bronze mounts have nice aged surface patination. Marks inside cover as shown.

Height: (entire as main image including top cover finial, an impressive) 16.5" (41.5cm). Width: (across arms) 5.25" (13.5cm). Depth: (at base) 3.75” (9.5cm).
