The frame was most likely blackened later - this was done very professionally, with a fine glaze instead of varnish
Gives the table a modern style - you can tell its age when you look at it from below ---
50s/60s or older
and the table top has of course suffered some scratches over the decades\.we have tried to reflect this in the detailed pictures.
