The author's third literary triptych, this one on the theme of 'The Sexes'. Lotte and Charlie, no longer young, in a nostalgic encounter at the Mondorf-les-Bains film festival.
Lotte and Charlie were no longer young: they'd known each other on and off for thirty years or so. The career of each had passed its peak, but each had a reputation- Charlie for his books, Lotte for her films- and the material resources with which, not so much to enjoy it, as to preserve both the public image it demanded and the privacy it threatened.
