Quercus Eros 1
Sculpture created 2019
The Eros of Nature. Inspired by the Human form, a chopped limb from a Texas Oak tree emanates a very sensual, mysterious vibe via the Ancient Japanese technique of Yakisugi -- or Shou-sugi-ban, the repeated, deep charring of the wood under high flame. Layers of wood are removed to reveal what was always present.
Ideal for table-top display. Can be moved into multiple configurations.
