Extremely rare golf ashtray. This is a high-quality glass and leather golf ashtray with original Penfold Ace 1 golf ball and nine (9) early tees of various design.
8" diameter and 2" deep, weights almost 3.5 pounds
The glass ashtray lifts out of the leather jacket, and the tees can be removed and swapped out. The Penfold ball is fastened to the glass with a slot head screw. The bottom of the leather insert is marked Made in England.
Two tee holders are torn but still hold the tee, glass not chipped or damaged, leather insert shows minor wear
Estimated to be circa early 1960s when the British Penfold Ace golf ball was popular.
A must have for a cigar smoker in a manly den.
