San Francisco, California, 1960s, black and white view of the Bay Bridge on a cloudy day. The photograph captures the majestic span of the bridge as it stretches across the bay, with a foreground showing an old pier. The moody, overcast sky adds a sense of solitude and calm to the image, contrasting with the strong lines of the bridge's architecture. This iconic scene reflects the enduring presence of one of San Francisco's most famous landmarks during the mid-20th century.Andres was born 1905 in Germany and passed away 1992. He started his career as a photographer in 1920. He was one of the first photographers, who used a Leica. His images today are displayed in several museums, for example in the Civil War Museum in Salamanca, Spain, the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland, the Industrial Museum in Oberhausen, Germany. Andres was a contributor for Edward Steichens Exhibition "The family of man" at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1951. The print is new, a Fine Art Print on high quality paper (Hahnemühle) made by Whitewall. It comes to you in a tube. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
