This stunning 17-inch porcelain figurine, crafted by Giovanni Girardi in the 1950s, captures the the energy of dance. The figure portrays a beautiful gypsy girl mid-twirl on a classic black and white checkered ballroom floor, her dynamic motion perfectly preserved in time.
Her right hand is elegantly arched behind her head, holding a tambourine aloft, while her left hand, adorned with castanets, rests gracefully near her hip. Her wide, flowing skirt, adorned with a vibrant array of pink and yellow flowers and lush green leaves, billows out in a sweeping motion, swirling around her and conveying the whirlwind of her frenzied dance.
