This minimalistic sconce was designed by … Read more Minimalistic model 27 sconce designed by gino sarfatti and manufactured by arteluce, italy 1956. This minimalistic sconce was designed by one of the greatest light designers from the mid-20th century. This sconce has a very nice elliptical shaped reflector shade which has an aluminium shade with pearl finish. It is difficult to see on the pictures, but this shade has a light pearl gloss which is a very interesting detail of this version. The arm is made of solid brass and is in very good condition with slight patina. The wall lamp is adjustable in many different positions for different kinds of uses. It is very easy to wall hang because the arm can be disassembled to fix it to the wall. The lamp has the original arteluce sticker on the inside of the shade and really is in a fantastic original condition with normal age-related wear. The lamp uses an e27 bulb up to 60 watt. This lamp is checked in our own atelier, cleaned and is suitable for use in the usa. this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
