Country house oversized cheval mirror from the Empire period in France, likely originating from a large chateau. This exceptional piece features a pedimented top with mounts, below are two columns with flamed veneering. The large original mirror plate swivels to the desired position for optimal viewing. The base consists of down-swept legs united by a turned stretcher, with additional central turned legs providing extra strength and stability. This mirror is a particularly fine example, notable for its large size, as most mirrors of this kind tend to be smaller and less practical for viewing oneself while dressed.
Height 194 cm, width 115 cm, depth 88 cm
