This very nice direct table … Read more Minimalist model 565 table lamp designed by gino sarfatti and manufactured by arteluce, italy 1956. This very nice direct table lamp has a cast iron base, covered with a black painted aluminium cover. The centre stem is made of chrome plated metal, the shade is a combination of black painted metal and green acrylic glass. In this lamp sarfatti created balance between direct light and decorative light. The green diffuser ring makes sure you don’t stare directly into the lamp and also gives the appearance that it is lit. Which is a very nice detail in the design. The cable which exists at the top, takes on a decorative as well as functional value. This lamp is perfect as a desk lamp for example. Model 565 is equipped with an ornamental patent, issued march 16, 1957, for ‘a lamp with a support bracket that moves along a column’. The shade is adjustable in height, due to an ingenious system constructed by tension. One small rubber keeps the spring which holds shade in place and makes this easy to adjust. The lamp uses an e27 spotlight reflector up to 100 watts. This lamp is checked in our own atelier, cleaned and is suitable for use in the usa. For us usage we could change the plug, or you can get a converter if needed for a floor or table lamp with transformer in it. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
