Each piece is monogrammed with borgström's initials, "ceb," and the ystad-metall maker's mark. About carl-einar borgström carl-einar borgström (1914-1981) was a swedish sculptor, painter, and illustrator, born in ystad, sweden. He studied at the technical school (1931-35) and the royal academy of fine arts (1935-37). Borgström began working at ystad-metall at the age of 15 and collaborated with them throughout much of his life. Although also a painter and illustrator, he is best known for his work as a sculptor, creating pieces in silver, bronze, brass, plaster, and wood. He also designed glassware for björkhult's glassworks during his career. See less
