louis xv style, the sockets are decorated with rocaille and floral motifs.
the spatula forming a delicate rounding is adorned with foliage scrolls.

goldsmith's mark and minerva 1st title mark inside the spoon.
minerva hallmark 1st title = 925 silver
vermeil is a film of gold affixed to solid silver.

master goldsmith: odiot
 13 ice shovels were created between 1865-1894 (hallmark marked with the o and the antique oil lamp characteristic of this period),
 5 ice shovels between 1894-1906 (the hallmark retains the antique lamp but the “o” is replaced by “prcie” because the house is managed by gustave odiot, émile prévost and paul edouard récipon.)

condition :
presence of micro-scratches due to time and use, dull silver-gilt and two slightly deformed ice shovels (photos no. 13).
box in used condition, exterior split and torn. Interior in good condition (please look at photos no. 16-17). This piece has an attribution mark,
