The shelf with … Read more A late 18th century george iii period irish chimneypiece executed in statuary white and convent siena marbles. The shelf with a typically irish moulded edge. The frieze having a carved centre tablet of a classical urn with rams heads and descending bell drops. Flanked by siena marble panels and ending in carved corner blocks again of urns with rams heads. The jambs panelled in siena with white marble in and out grounds, inside being deeper and reeded. A very good example of a late 18th c irish chimneypiece. Opening sizes 93.5cm h x 91cm w See less
