N.G. Gachegov is a well listed artist in Russia. He studied at the Sukhumi Art College and Moscow Technological University. During his art career, he has participated in multiple art exhibits. His works are present in many major collections in Russia and around the world.
This painting depicts Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Riga, Latvia.
This is an interesting choice of subject matter as religion was banned during the Soviet period.
This oil on board painting is wonderfully done with vibrant expressionist coloring.
