Pushnin participated in many art exhibitions. He painted a myriad of genres. His style is known for powerful pictorial language as well as sharp composition from unusual angles. His first solo exhibition was in Leningrad in 1982.

The inscription on the reverse is written in Cyrillic. It translates to "Pushnin, A. T., at the pier, 1959."
The piece is quite remarkable. It depicts a scene from daily life under the Soviet Union. A stack of crates can be seen on a shoreline. Older buildings can be seen in the background, with grassy hills behind.
