Made by American Silver Company Alvin and introduced in 1903. The art nouveau floral decoration on this small ladle is intricate and elegant but it feels heavy for its size at 38g. There is no monogram, however, there is a place to add one. An elegant versatile serving piece for sauces, nuts, or candies. Marked Sterling. The company was acquired by Gotham in 1928 so the ladle dates from 1903-1928 and is now discontinued.
