A charming mid-century modernist style town landscape composition, executed in oil onto canvas and dated 1956 on reverse.
The painting presents the town of Sant Pol de Mar in Spain, surrounded by a lush greenery landscape setting.
Painted with a modernist ethos, the artist has skilfully deconstructed the scene down to short and expressive brushstroke.
An array of earthy shades including a variety of greens, as well as browns and blue have been used, imbuing the painting with an uplifting feel.
