Heavy glass Sommerso clear background on a deep amber or dense red. Amelio Cenedese created glasses by borrowing Carlo Scarpa's veil technique. These are made with a thin grinding wheel that smoothes the surface. This is not a wrought iron where small blows on the large wheel give the effect of forged iron (wrought iron). Here it's more like wood grain. It is chiseled line by line. Cenedese learned the Sommerso technique thanks to the works of Dal Ros. Inciso is a cold finish perfect for Sommerso, see images.
