Snuffer scissors, candle snuffer, metal, around 1900
The snuffers are scissors that are used to extinguish lit candles or lamps, removing the spark, which is the already burned part of the wick. Its use was widespread from the 16th century until the second half of the 19th century, when the use of candles was displaced by kerosene and paraffin lamps. It is supported by three supports.
