This vintage 5x13 Persian Kilim is a tribal rug believed to hail from Meshkin—a small Iranian village known for its craft.
Handwoven in wool circa 1950-1960, these are sometimes called Northwest designs—a well-known Persian provenance. Its design prefers vibrant colors and sharp geometric patterns in field and border alike.
Connoisseurs may note its rare modern sensibility period, as well as its good condition.
