Item: Antique Walnut Secretary Desk (two piece).
Age & Condition: Circa 1840. Refinished, some signs of age and character.
Dimensions: 44″ wide x 21″ deep x 87.5″ tall.
Beautiful antique secretary desk with bookcase top. This nice two piece desk has so much charm and beautiful details!
Antique Secretary Desk
This lovely antique secretary desk features beautiful signs of age and character. Firstly, the glass doors on the top feature wavy, handblown glass panels, glazed into place. Also, the desk has a beautiful rich color throughout.
Once the slant front desk is dropped, you will see that the interior is just as pretty as the exterior. It features four small tiger maple drawers with glass hardware. In fact, one of the drawers has a secret trick: you must push your finger into the side hole in order to open it. A fun trick that makes it a great hiding place!
The walnut secretary desk is elegant yet slightly rustic. The finish has been restored. However, there are lots of signs of character and age to the desk. Please see photos.
