Painted Anglo Indian vargueno collectors box, c.1960’s
A rectangular box with a drop down front that reveals interior drawers of different sizes, for items of different sizes. Used by collectors to store their treasures. Note the secret hidden compartment in the middle drawer. Painted and gilded decoration throughout with flowers and geometric patterns. Good condition with some surface paint wear.
