A sensational Carrara marble sculpture titled 'L' Abisso" by Professor Enrico Garibaldi.
The Art Deco work is of a nude male holding onto a cliff and starring down the precipice.
An imposing work that is extremely finely carved with wonderful details.
It is signed and dated 1924 on the base.
Document from the Nashvile Art Association dated 1925. The marble was purchased in Florence, Italy at an exhibit of The Association of of Italian Artists.
The sculpture weighs approximately 500 - 600 lbs.
