Really cool object to have on a bookshelf or in a child's bedroom, as a nightlight or decor.
Purchased in Italy in the mid 80s, and made in Italy by the geographical institute in Novara
It measures 14" high x 10" x 9"
The bulb is replaced by disengaging the globe from the meridian at the poles (photo #7). The bulb needed is an E14 base. We have replaced the bulb with an 1.5W LED bulb, which should last many hours, and we will include an extra bulb. Should you prefer not to have the illumination option, the cord can be easily removed.
