This extremely sturdy pewter pot was manufactured by Steiff in Baltimore, during the 1950s, for the gift shops at Colonial Williamsburg. They certainly don't sell anything of this quality now...
It's a faithful reproduction of an 18th Century original and is fully functional. The condition is good, with the typical patina which pewter develops over time. It could doubtless be polished to a high finish again.
