Set of 4 Göran Malmwall Pine Dining Chairs, Sweden, 1940s
A distinctive set of four iconic dining chairs designed by Göran Malmwall and crafted in solid pine by the renowned Swedish cabinetmakers Karl Andersson & Söner in the 1940s.
The design and patina reflect the rustic modern idiom associated with Axel Einar Hjorth, notably his celebrated Sportstuga furniture produced for Nordiska Kompaniet. This influence is expressed through the robust construction, honest materials, and refined yet powerful form.
